Indirect Tax Manager
We are working with a complex UK-based organisation to appoint an Indirect Tax Manager into a visible and commercially focused role within an established in-house tax team.
This is a hands-on position with an advisory bias, suited to someone who enjoys working close to the business and influencing decision-making rather than focusing purely on routine compliance. VAT is the core focus, but the role offers exposure to a broad indirect tax agenda, including evolving environmental and customs-related taxes.
Working alongside senior tax stakeholders, the successful candidate will support the delivery of indirect tax strategy, contribute to technical analysis on new and non-standard transactions, and help strengthen controls, processes and governance in a changing regulatory environment.
The role is hybrid, with an expectation of two days per week on site. Candidates will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance, as regular in-person collaboration is important for this hire.

- Provide practical and technically robust indirect tax advice to support commercial and operational decisions across the business

- Proven experience in an advisory-led indirect tax role, either in-house, in practice, or a mix of both
- Exposure to environmental taxes, particularly Climate Change Levy and/or CBAM, would be beneficial
- CTA qualified or qualified by experience
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into clear, commercial advice
