Income Tax Manager

The Tax Manager will assist the tax team in all matters of income tax, with an emphasis on tax provision and reporting. <p>The successful candidate will be able to manage complex workflows and navigate effectively through uncertainty while prioritizing business needs. The ideal candidate should be able to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment, perform their duties timely and accurately, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and work with teams in multiple time-zones. This role will be highly visible to the overall finance and operations organization and will participate in strategic financial planning, providing insights on tax implications of potential business opportunities. </p>
<p>The role will be based in our New York City office.</p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare the quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated tax provision and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740</li>
<li>Manage the US & foreign tax compliance process in collaboration with outside providers</li>
<li>Prepare federal, state, and international income tax analyses - some items include the R&D credit, stock based compensation, return-to-provisions, and fixed asset depreciation </li>
<li>Manage the tax calendar for all income tax filing obligations</li>
<li>Assist with tax planning projects, including modeling and forecasting of tax impacts</li>
<li>Drive tax process improvements, technological enhancements, and evolution of the tax reporting function</li>
<li>Monitor legislative, administrative, and judicial developments and quantify tax impacts</li>
<li>Research and memorialize tax technical issues and positions and ensure proper documentation</li>
<li>Work closely with third-party consultants to ensure all income tax requirements are achieved both timely and accurately</li>

<p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus) </li>
<li>7+ years tax compliance and accounting experience with 4+ years of public accounting experience in ASC 740 or equivalent in-house experience</li>
<li>Proactive and resourceful team player with positive attitude and energy in a fast-paced and changing environment</li>
<li>Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload involving multiple tasks, responsibilities, and tight deadlines</li>
<li>Excellent communication (verbal and written) </li>
<li>Excellent use of Excel, Google Suite, and hands-on exposure to accounting systems </li>
