Incident Manager

Bavarian Nordic is looking for a dedicated and process driven IT Incident Manager to join our skilled IT Service Desk team in Denmark.

You will join a dedicated team of six colleagues who value openness, honesty, and a healthy work\-life balance. We work as one team across Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S. The team supports over 2500 users.
Your role will be based in Kvistgaard (Denmark). A valid work permit is required, and the role involves up to two travel days per month.
You will report to the Manager of IT End User Services.
Your impact
As an Incident Manager, you will lead the Incident Management process, including Major Incidents, ensuring system reliability, security, and process efficiency. You will collaborate closely with IT Operations, Security, Compliance, and other Group IT teams to maintain high availability and operational resilience across Bavarian Nordic.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily monitoring of the Incident and Service Request processes across Group IT
- Provide monthly reporting across Group IT based on defined metrics
- Business IT Service Liaison for proactive Service improvements
- Manage recurring incidents across IT departments
- Handle escalations and user complaints in collaboration with IT Management
- Own and lead the Major Incident Management process including communication during Major Incidents
- Contribute to the optimization of monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 8\+ years of experience in IT operations, incident management, or IT service management (ITSM)
- Excellent problem\-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Certifications in ITILv4/v5, ITIL Practice Manager or Managing Professional
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Freshservice, or ServiceDesk\+
- Full proficiency in English is required, proficiency in Danish is considered an asset
