Inbound Sales Executive
Inbound Sales Executive
Northampton
Salary: £30,000 base + commission
Hours: Monday – Friday
ENB are supporting our Northampton based client who is looking for a commercially minded Inbound Sales Executive to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a role for someone who enjoys converting opportunities, building customer relationships and growing customer accounts and would be suited for someone who can think commercially and take real ownership of the customer journey.
What will you be doing? Sitting at the centre of their sales team, you will be responsible for turning inbound opportunities into customers and customers into long term relationships.
You will do this by:
- Convert inbound enquiries from initial conversation through quotation, negotiation and order.
- Develop a portfolio of retained customers, generate repeat business and identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare quotes and commercial proposals, using sound judgement around pricing, product fit and deal structure.
- Follow up on opportunities, because sending a quote isn't the finish line.
- Build strong customer relationships based on credibility, trust and understanding rather than simply competing on price.
- Keep the CRM and customer records accurate
- Share customer, market and competitor insight with the Sales Manager and wider sales team.
- Work closely with Operations, Technical Support, Finance, Customer Experience and other teams to make sure customers receive the right solution.
- Customers come back, not because of price, but because you've built a relationship they value.
- Inbound enquiries are converted well.
- Quotes are accurate and commercially considered.
- Your accounts are growing.
- Your pipeline can be trusted.
- And the insight you gain from speaking to customers actually helps shape how the sales function operates.
- Experience in a B2B sales or commercial role, with personal responsibility for converting enquiries into orders.
- Experience managing and developing a portfolio of repeat customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using a CRM, quoting system or similar business software.
- Strong organisation and the ability to balance inbound opportunities, account development and follow-up.
- Confidence learning products and understanding customer requirements.
- Experience within the identity and access control sector or another technical product environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
- Most importantly, you will be someone who can own it and take responsibility for outcomes. You are curious and want to understand why something worked and how it could work even better next time.
