Swiss Hotel Apartments SA (SHA) is a luxury 5\-star serviced apartment operator with properties in Interlaken, Montreux, Grindelwald and Lugano. The group also includes Coffee Switzerland SA (C\+), a specialty coffee boutique and roastery, and 247 Concierge SA, the group's centralised HR and staffing company. We are a fast\-moving, owner\-led business with an active and growing legal agenda across real estate, commercial, employment and litigation matters, and we are now bringing legal in\-house.

The role

As our first In\-House Legal Counsel, you will report directly to the CEO and own the group's legal function end to end. You will handle day\-to\-day legal work yourself, manage external counsel on litigation and specialist matters, and give management clear, practical advice that supports fast decisions. This is a hands\-on generalist role in a small team, with real responsibility from day one. The position is based in Interlaken with regular presence in Montreux; partial remote work is possible.

Your responsibilities

\- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts: leases, management and operating agreements, supplier and distribution agreements, partnership and franchise agreements, NDAs and settlement agreements

\- Advise on Swiss tenancy and real estate law, including lease negotiations, property acquisitions and disposals, condominium (STWEG/PPE) matters and notarial processes

\- Manage the group's litigation and dispute portfolio: coordinate external law firms across cantons, monitor deadlines, prepare submissions and evidence, and drive matters to resolution

\- Handle debt enforcement and collection proceedings (SchKG/LP), including Rechtsöffnung/mainlevée applications

\- Advise on employment law across the group's entities, including contracts, terminations, non\-compete clauses, social insurance obligations and disputes

\- Support corporate housekeeping: company formations, shareholder and board matters, commercial register filings, share subscription and financing agreements

\- Advise on data protection (nFADP/GDPR), intellectual property, trademarks and online platform disputes

\- Assess legal risk on new projects (property RFPs, international expansion, new ventures) and structure deals accordingly

\- Build templates, playbooks and processes so the business can move faster with less legal friction

Your profile

\- Swiss law degree (MLaw or equivalent); Swiss bar admission (Anwaltspatent/brevet d'avocat) strongly preferred

\- 3 to 8 years of experience in a Swiss law firm and/or in\-house, with solid exposure to contract, tenancy/real estate, employment and litigation work

\- Fluent in German and French (written and spoken) and fully professional in English; you will draft in all three

\- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities change and decisions are made quickly

\- Practical and commercial: you separate fact from inference, flag risks clearly, and give answers rather than options

\- Organised and self\-driven, able to run many matters in parallel with minimal supervision

\- Experience in hospitality, real estate or retail is a plus, as is familiarity with cross\-border matters (EU, UK, Middle East)
