EJC are partnered with a specialist asset manager, focusing on tax-efficient investments who are expanding their sales team in the North of England. This role will focus on the Manchester, Leeds & Sheffield areas, targeting financial advisors & advisory firms. Great opportunity to join a company that is growing steadily, in a thriving sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional business development strategy to grow assets under management across the Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield IFA markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with independent financial advisors, wealth managers, and paraplanners, positioning the firm's tax-efficient investment products (VCT/EIS/BR) as a core part of their client proposition
- Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual meetings with IFA firms, and network/panel gatekeepers to drive product adoption and deepen existing relationships
- Identify and onboard new IFA firms and introducers within the territory, building a robust pipeline of prospective distribution partners
- Deliver technical and engaging presentations on tax-efficient investment solutions, tailored to adviser and client suitability considerations
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and adviser roadshows across the North of England
- Proven track record in external business development within the tax-efficient investment space (VCT, EIS, BR/IHT solutions) or wider wealth management/asset management sales
- Strong existing network of IFA and wealth management relationships across Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, or the wider North of England
- Confident, polished presenter able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to advisers of varying experience levels
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable history of hitting or exceeding sales/AUM targets
- Self-starter comfortable managing an independent territory with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to selling
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline and activity management
- Sound understanding of the regulatory landscape, including FCA requirements and Consumer Duty implications for product distribution
