Ice Rink Duty Manager

Core Responsibilities

• Ice resurfacing \& rink maintenance Operate and maintain the ice pad, including driving the ice resurfacer


• Ensure the ice surface is safe and prepared for sessions, events, and matches.


• Opening and closing the building Responsible for securing the premises at the start and end of shifts.


• Conduct safety checks, ensure alarms and locks are set, and prepare the venue for customers


• Daily operations management Oversee the smooth running of the rink, café/bar, and vending operations.


• Supervise staff, delegate tasks, and ensure customer service standards are met.


• Health \& safety compliance Monitor adherence to safety procedures for staff and customers.


• Maintain audit trails and documentation for operational accountability.


• Customer service \& staff leadership Handle customer queries and complaints with professionalism.


• Support staff development and morale while enforcing policies fairly

• Supervisory or team leader experience (minimum 1 year preferred).


• Strong customer service and leadership skills.


• Ability to work hands\-on in a fast\-paced environment.


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Knowledge of hospitality or leisure operations is advantageous .

This role is hands\-on and operationally critical: the Duty Manager is the bridge between frontline staff and senior management. They ensure the rink is safe, welcoming, and compliant, while also keeping the business side (F\&B, customer service, staffing) running smoothly.

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: From £13\.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
