Night Hygiene Operative – Tiffin Sandwiches

Location: 20 Commondale Way, Bradford, BD4 6SF
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 3 off
Hours: 12\-hour shifts (5pm till 5am)

The Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail\-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our Food Safety Hygiene team. You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our food manufacturing environment.

This role involves deep cleaning production equipment and facilities, working to strict schedules, and ensuring full compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.


• Ensure all hygiene working practices are consistently followed.


• Dismantle production lines and carry out thorough deep cleaning.


• Deep clean refrigeration units and other production equipment.


• Work as part of the Food Safety Hygiene team to meet operational standards.


• Follow and understand detailed hygiene schedules.


• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor machines, steam cleaners, and industrial washers.


• Use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively to carry out deep cleans.


• Work to tight schedules and meet deadlines consistently.


• Promote and support a strong food safety and hygiene culture across the site.


• Build effective working relationships with other departments and management to ensure HACCP compliance.


• Identify and support improvements to hygiene processes and working practices.


• Report any food safety or hygiene concerns to the line supervisor or production manager.


• Use all protective equipment and safety devices correctly.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.


• Good communication skills.


• Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.


• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.


• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding cleaning tasks.


• Proactive, flexible, and results\-driven approach to work.


• Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.


• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (full training provided).
