The HV Power Lines Engineer will join the T\&D Substations team within the Generation and Networks Unit, focusing on the design and calculation of overhead and underground high\-voltage power lines.
Key Responsabilities:
- Preliminary design and routing of HV/MV power lines.
- Design and calculation of overhead and underground HV/MV power lines.
- Define electrical and structural criteria for overhead and underground lines, including section, thermal, mechanical, and protection calculations.
- Prepare technical documentation: route drawings, layouts, calculation reports, and environmental and civil impact studies.
- Preparation of drawings and technical documents required to process grid access and connection applications to the transmission and distribution network.
- Review of HV/MV line engineering.
- Drafting and review of terms of reference and technical specifications.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in the design and calculation of HV/MV power lines, both overhead and underground.
- Knowledge of Spanish electrical regulations is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D and experience with power line calculation software (PLS‑CADD, PLS‑TOWER, IMEDEXA, CYMCAD).
- Working knowledge of BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) and GIS software (QGIS, GvSIG).
- Experience with electrical network modeling and simulation tools (e.g. DigSilent, ETAP, CAPE) and knowledge of utility standards and HV line design criteria is a plus.
- Fluent in Portuguese \& English; Spanish is a plus.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in multidisciplinary environments.
- Good organizational and prioritization skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality.
