Human Resources Officer

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: London / Hybrid
Desirable: CIPD Level 3

Working closely with the Clinic Manager, you will provide efficient and commercially focused HR support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately, professionally, and in line with company policies and employment legislation.

About the Role

The HR Officer will support the delivery of a responsive and customer\-focused HR service across EuroEyes UK. The role will involve managing employee changes, absence processes, employee relations administration, HR compliance, and supporting managers with day\-to\-day HR matters.

You will work closely with the Clinic Manager to ensure HR records and systems remain accurate while contributing to a supportive employee experience and maintaining compliance with employment legislation and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations \& Employee Support

  • Provide first\-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters

  • Manage employee lifecycle administration including contracts, probation, references, resignations, flexible working requests, and employee changes

  • Process employee changes and maintain HR systems accurately

  • Support the management of short\-term absence and family\-friendly processes including maternity, paternity, and adoption leave

  • Maintain accurate digital employee records in line with GDPR requirements

  • Coordinate onboarding and compliance documentation including right to work checks and DBS renewals

  • Support employee benefit administration and long service recognition initiatives

  • Assist with employee relations cases and maintain accurate ER trackers

  • Support organisational change initiatives including consultations and restructures where required
Compliance \& Administration
  • Ensure HR processes comply with employment legislation, GDPR, and company policies

  • Maintain and update HR templates, trackers, and reporting documentation

  • Support sponsorship and visa administration where applicable

  • Produce accurate HR reports including leaver analysis and exit interview reporting

  • Ensure deadlines are consistently met with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
Manager \& Team Support
  • Work closely with the Clinic Manager to support day\-to\-day people management activities

  • Support managers with HR guidance to promote confidence and consistency in people management

  • Deliver excellent internal customer service to employees and stakeholders

  • Work collaboratively with the wider management team to continuously improve processes and standards

  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across the organisation

  • Contribute positively to team objectives and wider business goals
Knowledge, Skills \& Experience

Essential

  • Previous HR administration or coordination experience

  • Experience working within healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments

  • Strong interest in developing a career within HR

  • Working towards a CIPD qualification or equivalent

  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice

  • Experience supporting employee relations processes

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications and HR systems

  • Ability to manage a busy workload with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Professional, proactive, and able to use initiative

  • High level of integrity and understanding of confidentiality
Desirable
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification

  • Previous experience within private healthcare

  • Experience supporting compliance and sponsorship processes
