ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of the HR function. You'll work directly with the directors, be the go to for all things HR.
We operate across multiple countries with both employees and contractors on the ground. So you'll need to be comfortable navigating UK employment law, have a solid awareness of EU employment frameworks, and know when to bring in specialist support. Recruitment is handled separately by our Talent team, so this role is entirely focused on operations, compliance, and building strong HR foundations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Acting as the HR lead for the whole business, advising directors and managers on all people matters
- Ensuring the business stays compliant with UK employment law and relevant EU regulations across our operating countries
- Developing, maintaining, and improving HR policies, and documentation across jurisdictions
- Overseeing onboarding and offboarding, including right to work checks across UK and EU
- Advising on compensation, benefits, and country\-specific employment requirements
- Keeping on top of legislative changes across all operating countries and flagging anything that affects us
- Solid, proven experience in a generalist HR role. You know HR inside out and can work across all areas of the function confidently
- Strong working knowledge of employment law. You know when to act and when to escalate
- Awareness of EU employment frameworks and multi\-country HR, or a clear appetite to develop this quickly
- Experience working with both employees and contractors, ideally across more than one country
- CIPD qualified, level 5 or above preferred
- Confident advising at director level and communicating clearly across different cultures and time zones
- Proactive, pragmatic, and organised
DESIRABLE
\- Background in engineering, construction, or project\-based technical businesses
\- Experience with posted workers rules and cross\-border contractor deployment in Europe
\- Knowledge of employment law in Europe
