Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Hours: Full Time – 40 Hours per Week
Working Pattern: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week office\-based in Crawley
Travel: Occasional travel to operational locations and regional sites may be required
Salary: £35,000 \- £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

As our People Advisor, you'll take ownership of employee relations, workforce processes and people support across the organisation. Working closely with managers and operational leaders, you'll help ensure workforce matters are managed fairly, professionally and consistently.
This is a hands\-on role involving investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, attendance management, recruitment and workforce support.

You Won’t Be Doing This Alone
This role forms part of an established operational leadership team.
You'll work closely with the Director of Operations, Operations Manager and Team Leaders, supporting managers with workforce matters whilst taking ownership of employee relations processes and people activities.
Secure24 has established policies, procedures and governance frameworks in place, together with access to external HR and employment law advice through Peninsula.
We're looking for someone who is confident managing people matters independently, whilst recognising when to seek advice and support. You will not be expected to navigate complex employment matters alone.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Employee Relations \& Workforce Support*
- Act as the organisation's primary point of contact for employee relations matters.
- Provide practical advice and support to managers on conduct, attendance, performance and workforce matters.
- Conduct workplace investigations and fact\-finding activities.
- Lead or support formal employee relations processes, including disciplinary, grievance, welfare, probation and attendance management matters.
- Conduct formal meetings where appropriate and support managers and Team Leaders in managing workforce matters effectively.
- Prepare reports, recommendations and outcome documentation.
- Liaise with external HR advisors where required.
- Ensure people matters are managed fairly, consistently and in accordance with company policies and employment legislation.
- Lead recruitment activity across the organisation from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
- Draft and publish job advertisements and manage recruitment campaigns.
- Screen applications and coordinate interview processes.
- Prepare employment documentation and offers of employment.
- Coordinate pre\-employment checks, including right to work, references, DBS and other compliance requirements.
- Lead onboarding activities for new starters.
- Support induction and probation processes.
- Maintain accurate workforce records and employee documentation.
- Monitor workforce compliance requirements and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- Support workforce compliance activities.
- Monitor mandatory HR processes and actions.
- Produce reports and management information where required.
- Support continuous improvement of people processes.
*Essential*
- CIPD Level 3 or above, or currently working towards a recognised CIPD qualification.
- Previous experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor, HR Officer or similar employee relations\-focused role.
- Demonstrable experience independently managing investigations, disciplinary processes, grievance procedures and attendance management cases.
- Experience conducting formal employee relations meetings, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance or welfare meetings.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience providing practical HR support within a busy operational environment.
- Experience within healthcare, social care, transport, security or another regulated environment.
- Experience working with external HR or employment law advisors.
- Experience using workforce management or HR systems.
- Experience producing workforce reports and management information.
