HR Officer
We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Officer to support our FGM business at Richard\-Whittaker. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day\-to\-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, ensuring the workforce is efficient, engaged, and aligned with business objectives.
Here at Richard\- Whittaker we are passionate about the food industry, for over 60 years, we have been dedicated to dry powder handling and blending and contract packaging. Our team is growing and were looking for talented individuals to join us. We employ over 110 staff which means that we are large enough to cope with the demands of big businesses, yet still small enough to care about those who are just starting out.
Duties:
- Manage end\-to\-end recruitment processes for operational and office roles
- Coordinate interviews, screening, and candidate selection
- Conduct onboarding and induction programs for new hires
- Act as a point of contact for employee and managers
- Support conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems
- Monitor employee performance and support development plans
- Work with managers to identify training needs
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
- Manage contracts, documentation, and compliance records
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Support audits and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate training programs for staff and line managers
- Track employee development and training effectiveness
- Promote continuous learning within the organization
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration
- Monitor attendance, leave records, and overtime
Education \& Experience
- CIPD Level 3 in Human Resources, or similar qualifications
- HR experience, preferably in FMG/FMCG or manufacturing
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation
- CPD initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced, high\-volume environment
- Excellent organizational and problem\-solving skills
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
