HR Officer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join a growing manufacturing and distribution organisation based in Folkestone. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, operational environment where HR plays a key role in supporting business performance and workforce engagement.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide a comprehensive and hands-on HR service across a busy site, supporting both operational and office-based teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing practical HR advice and guidance to line managers on a day-to-day basis


• Managing and supporting employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary and grievance matters


• Assisting with high-volume recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning


• Supporting performance management and employee development processes


• Maintaining accurate HR records and updating HR systems


• Assisting with HR reporting, audits and compliance requirements


• Supporting initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention across the site

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in a HR Officer or similar generalist HR role


• Experience working within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment (highly desirable)


• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law


• Confidence managing employee relations cases in a fast-paced setting


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively


• Excellent communication skills with a hands-on, approachable style


• CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
