HR Manager Part Time 25-30 Hours
We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of HR across the business.
This is a hands\-on role covering everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, training, payroll and HR administration. You’ll work closely with managers, providing practical advice and support on a wide range of people matters.
You’ll also have the opportunity to improve our HR processes, policies and training programmes as the business continues to grow.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruitment from advertising vacancies through to shortlisting, interviews and offers.
- Complete pre\-employment checks and manage new starter onboarding and induction.
- Prepare contracts, HR documentation and maintain accurate employee records.
- Provide day\-to\-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence and other employee relations matters.
- Manage more complex issues such as disputes, long\-term absence, retirement and redundancy, working with our external HR and employment law advisers where needed.
- Monitor holidays, TOIL, sickness and attendance.
- Manage leaver processes, including exit interviews and final payroll information.
- Liaise with the Payroll Manager to ensure employee changes are processed correctly.
- Support managers with training and development plans.
- Maintain learning and development processes to support our ISO requirements.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain practical, effective and legally compliant.
- Support internal governance and any organisational changes.
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, approachable and confident dealing with people at all levels.
You’ll have a good understanding of UK employment law and practical experience across the employee lifecycle. You’ll be comfortable advising managers, dealing with sensitive situations and handling employee relations issues professionally.
You’ll also need to be organised, have good attention to detail and be able to manage several priorities at once.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- CIPD level 5\.
- Experience in a generalist or operational HR role.
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Experience dealing with disciplinaries, grievances and absence.
- Experience supporting and advising line managers.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with recruitment and onboarding.
- An understanding of payroll and HR administration.
- Experience supporting training and development.
Salary is £45'000 \- £50'000 Pro Rota
