Are you an experienced, commercially focused HR Advisor or HR Manager who enjoys working in a busy, people\-focused business? If so we’d love to hear from you

About us

eCapital helps small and medium\-sized businesses access flexible funding so they can grow with confidence. We are entering an exciting next phase of growth, with more than 800 colleagues across the UK, US and Canada.

We are committed to our purpose, empowering companies by accelerating their access to funding and leading the way as an innovative provider of cashflow solutions to small and medium businesses. For over 2 decades we have provided in excess of £2 billion of funding support to our clients in the UK and £36 billion across the group.

You will be joining at a very exciting time, after years of exponential growth, we continue to expand our global footprint, and seek bright minds and avid advocates to join us in our continued success story.

We are ambitious, collaborative and committed to creating a positive employee experience. We want our people to feel valued, supported and comfortable asking for help when they need it.

The role

This is a varied, hands\-on generalist role supporting around 230 colleagues across five UK offices. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, helping people feel heard, supported and able to do their best work.

You will enjoy building strong relationships, giving practical advice and finding solutions that work for both our people and the business. No two days will be the same: you may be supporting an employee relations case, improving an HR process, helping with recruitment or making better use of our HR systems.

You will:

  • Provide practical, commercially minded HR advice across the full employee lifecycle.

  • Manage a broad range of employee relations matters with confidence, care and discretion.

  • Help improve HR systems, processes and ways of working.

  • Support HR projects and the wider people agenda.

  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues at all levels.

  • Travel regularly to our regional offices in Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham.
About you

You will have solid HR Advisor or HR Manager experience and enjoy working in a busy, people\-focused environment. You will be confident applying UK employment law in a practical way and balancing employee needs with business priorities.

You will also bring:

  • CIPD Level 5 membership or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience managing employee relations cases independently.

  • Experience using an HR system; HRIS administration or process improvement experience would be useful.

  • Strong organisation, judgement and attention to detail.

  • A warm, approachable and professional manner.

  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to get involved.

  • Resilience and calmness when handling difficult or sensitive situations.
Experience in financial services, professional services or a multi\-site organisation would be an advantage, as would experience with Moorepay or Access LMS.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a real difference, grow your HR career and be part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.
