Cabot is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager to lead our people agenda in Belgium. This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of a well\-established manufacturing operation and play a key role in shaping employee experience, talent development, employee relations, and organizational performance.
Our Loncin manufacturing facility produces masterbatches and conductive compounds containing carbon black, additives, and thermoplastic resins used across a wide range of industries, including construction, automotive, agriculture, and packaging. Since launching operations in 1970, the site has grown into an important part of Cabot's global network and today employs more than 60 people. The Loncin team works closely with colleagues at our second Belgian facility in Pepinster, located approximately 30 kilometers away.
As Country HR Manager Belgium, you will serve as a trusted advisor to General Manager and the Leadership Team. As a member of the Belgian site leadership team, you will help drive business performance, operational excellence, workforce capability, social partnership, and a strong culture of safety and inclusion across both of our Belgian sites.
How You Will Make an Impact:
HR Strategy and Business Partnership
- Act as the HR business partner to the Facility General Manager and site leadership team.
- Translate global and EMEA HR strategy into practical local actions for Belgium.
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management.
- Provide proactive HR guidance to managers on performance, engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- Manage collective labour relations with unions and employee representatives.
- Prepare and support Works Council and social body meetings.
- Support negotiations, collective agreements, and social climate management.
- Advise management on employee relations, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution while maintaining a constructive and compliant social dialogue.
- Ensure compliance with Belgian labour law, social regulations, and Cabot policies.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and governance documents.
- Support legal cases, audits, and interactions with authorities or legal advisors.
- Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance in employee data management.
- Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processes.
- Oversee contracts, benefits, absences, and HR administration.
- Monitor labour costs and HR budgets in collaboration with Finance.
- Provide relevant HR analytics (headcount, absenteeism, turnover, productivity).
- Lead local recruitment strategy and ensure efficient hiring processes.
- Drive performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning.
- Coach managers on leadership, communication, and people management.
- Promote Cabot’s values, ethical standards, and leadership behaviours.
- Strengthen employee engagement, trust, and organizational alignment.
- Act as a role model for integrity, fairness, and collaboration.
- Support and reinforce the site safety culture through HR processes.
- Ensure onboarding and training include safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Support consistency in disciplinary practices related to safety rules.
- Contribute to audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead or support HR communication related to organizational changes and policies.
- Act as a key interface between local sites, EMEA HR, and corporate functions.
- Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication across both Belgian sites.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian labour law and social relations
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Law or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including HR management responsibilities
- Experience in an industrial and unionized environment
- Experience in a multinational matrix organization
- Fluency in French and English
