We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a growing manufacturing business based in Stroud.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on and commercially minded HR professional to lead the HR function within a fast-paced operational environment. Working closely with senior leadership, you will support around 200 employees across both blue and white collar teams, delivering a proactive and practical HR service across the business.
This standalone HR role would suit an experienced HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor/HR Business Partner looking for a varied position with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities • Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Managing employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning
- Coaching managers on performance management and people issues
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Supporting training, development and succession planning initiatives
- Monitoring HR KPIs including absence, turnover and headcount
- Managing HR administration and employee records
- Supporting internal communications and employee engagement activity
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Manufacturing, engineering or operational sector experience preferred
- Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge
- Experience supporting both operational and office-based teams
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
- Confident communicator with a hands-on and approachable style
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working autonomously within a busy environment
