HR Executive
The HR \& Compliance Executive will play a key role in supporting the day\-to\-day HR function while also assisting with compliance, ethical audit preparation and internal governance requirements.
This role will suit an ambitious HR professional who enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment and who is comfortable dealing with both operational and strategic HR matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers across the business to ensure best practice in employee relations, documentation, training, compliance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources
· Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, inductions and offboarding
· Maintain accurate employee files, HR records and systems
· Prepare employment contracts, letters and HR documentation
· Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, investigation and absence management processes
· Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and company policies
· Coordinate probation reviews and performance management processes
· Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures
· Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
· Coordinate training programmes and maintain training records
· Assist with payroll administration and employee benefits where required
Compliance \& Ethical Standards
· Support compliance with SMETA, customer codes of practice and internal standards
· Assist in preparing for customer, ethical and regulatory audits
· Maintain compliance documentation and records across the business
· Coordinate corrective action follow\-up and close\-out activities
· Work with operational teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
· Support document control and policy management systems
· Assist with sustainability, responsible sourcing and governance initiatives where required
Health, Safety \& Food Industry Compliance
· Promote a positive compliance and safety culture throughout the organisation
· Support training and awareness initiatives related to compliance and workplace standards
· Liaise with external advisors, auditors and agencies when required
Candidate Profile
Essential
· 3\+ years HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, food production or FMCG
· Strong understanding of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice
· Experience managing employee relations issues professionally and confidentially
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
· CIPD qualification or equivalent
· Experience in food manufacturing or retail supplier environments
· Knowledge of SMETA, ethical audits or compliance systems
· Experience supporting audits or regulatory inspections
