Kennedys is looking for a HR Employee Relations Manager to join our HR team. They will be responsible for managing and overseeing a broad range of employee relations cases, ensuring consistent, fair, and legally compliant outcomes. The role provides expert guidance and support to managers and employees on matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, performance management, conduct, workplace conflict, and other complex employee issues.

The HR Employee Relations Manager will drive best practice in employee relations, mitigate organisational risk, and promote a positive employee experience through early intervention, coaching, and effective case resolution.

Team

The Kennedys HR team is over 85 strong and supports the firm around the world with all people related matters.

The HR team is based across Kennedys' five regions; APAC, EMEA, US, LATAM and UK. The areas of HR that we have responsibility for are Business Partnering, Talent, Recruitment, Responsible Business, Operations, and Reward.

You will be working in a fast\-paced, demanding, and global environment as we strive to make a difference for our people, clients and communities where we work.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end\-to\-end employee relations cases, including complex disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.

  • Manage and oversee the caseload of HR Advisors and others.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on policy application, employment legislation, and procedural requirements.

  • Prepare and review case documentation, outcome letters, and tribunal\-ready records where required.

  • Monitor case progress and ensure cases are managed within agreed service level agreements and timelines.
Required experience

Essential

  • Significant experience managing a wide range of employee relations cases.

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and producing investigation reports.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, high\-risk, and sensitive cases independently.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Excellent written communication and report\-writing abilities.

  • Ability to balance legal compliance with commercial decision making.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification.

  • Experience supporting multi\-country or EMEA employee relations cases.
