HR Download — Holmes Chapel, Cheshire

We build workplaces where people thrive and businesses grow.

To do that well, we need HR Consultants who bring clarity, care and courage — and who are energised by doing meaningful work across a diverse client population.

If you want predictable in‑house HR, this won’t be the right home for you.

If you want stretch, variety and real impact — we’d love to meet you.

What This Role Is Really About

This role is about setting our clients up for success from day one.

You will deliver the full onboarding experience for every new client, ensuring the process is smooth, human and commercially sound. As you work, you’ll continuously improve how we onboard — automating non–client‑facing steps to create more space for meaningful, human‑to‑human support.

By working closely with clients across their lifecycle, you’ll develop a clear view of what they genuinely need. Over time, you’ll use these insights to review our service packages and flag to the MD where something isn’t aligned with real client demand, and what alternative or refined options might better serve them in future.

You’ll partner across our full client population, manage our service desk, and bring structured time‑planning, commercial judgement and thoughtful administration to ensure every client receives high‑quality, tailored HR support.

You’ll also support our growth activity through outreach calls, helping us stay connected with potential clients and maintain a healthy pipeline.

You’ll also advise leaders with calm confidence, simplify complexity, and move businesses forward with thoughtful, commercially sound HR. Protecting scope and planning your time with discipline is essential to how we keep our promises.

How We Work (Our HEROIC Way)

Health – We create space to think, breathe and work sustainably.

Equity – We bring clarity, consistency and compassion to every decision.

Responsibility – We own our work and show up with integrity.

Optimism – We believe in people’s potential and help them move forward.

Innovation – We design thoughtful solutions, not templates.

Courage – We say the hard things with warmth and honesty.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and refine the end‑to‑end onboarding experience for all new clients

  • Review client needs, business goals and risk to recommend the right service package

  • Deliver service to our clients, ensuring responsive, consistent, high‑quality support

  • Maintain clear administration, documentation and commercial tracking

  • Guide business leaders and managers with structured, evidence‑based advice

  • Lead ER casework confidently, including complex situations — grounding every decision in the data, the legal position, the business impact, and the guidance we should provide

  • Build early connections with future clients through daily outreach calls

  • Support organisational change with calm, clear thinking

  • Use insight and data to demonstrate impact

  • Plan and track your time with discipline so clients receive the service they’ve purchased
Who You Are

  • Communicate with warmth, honesty and belief in others

  • Bring strong commercial judgement and protect scope without drama

  • Are organised, proactive and confident managing a high‑volume workflow

  • Are curious, reflective and committed to your own development

  • Love helping clients see what they *need*, not just what they request
You won’t enjoy this role if you:
  • Prefer steady, single‑organisation HR

  • Avoid time‑tracking, planning or admin

  • Dislike proactive communication

  • Want predictable routines more than personal growth
