HR & Compliance Manager

Sindhu Immigration Services is a growing, IAA\-regulated immigration law firm operating alongside its sister accounting firm (SK Accountants and Tax Consultants Ltd) and a portfolio of hospitality businesses. As the businesses continue to expand, we are focused on developing robust, compliant, and high\-performing teams that drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.
The Role:
We are seeking a hands\-on, proactive HR \& Compliance Manager to take ownership of HR operations across both our legal and accountancy businesses and a portfolio of hospitality businesses including hotels and event venues. This is not a passive HR role. You will be responsible for implementing structure, enforcing discipline, and ensuring full compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
*HR Operations \& Systems*
● Manage and oversee HR systems including BrightHR.
● Maintain accurate employee records (contracts, job descriptions, right to work checks).
● Monitor attendance, punctuality, and staff performance.
*Compliance \& Audits*
● Conduct regular HR audits across all business units.
● Ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal procedures.
● Maintain up\-to\-date HR documentation and policies.
*Performance Management \& Discipline*
● Address lateness, absenteeism, and underperformance.
● Issue warnings, manage disciplinary procedures, and oversee exit processes.
● Support managers with handling staff issues professionally and consistently.
*Onboarding \& Training*
● Implement structured onboarding processes for new hires.
● Ensure all employees receive appropriate documentation and training.
Requirements:
● Proven experience in HR management (3\-5 years)
● Strong knowledge of UK employment law
● Experience handling disciplinary and performance management cases
● Confident, assertive, and able to challenge management where necessary
● Experience in multi\-site businesses
● Professional services experience (Law, Accounting)
