HR Assistant

We’re looking to welcome a People Assistant to our wider People team in Sheffield (S35\) on a full\-time, fixed\-term contract for 6 months. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary of £27,000\.

Key resposnabilities:
- Provide administrative support across key People processes, including starters, leavers, employee changes, employee relations activities, absence notifications, and Fit Notes
- Ensure all data is accurate and up to date within the central HR system, including completion of new starter documentation and right\-to\-work checks
- Support Managers with disciplinary and grievance processes, including conducting investigations where appropriate, advising during hearings, taking accurate notes, and confirming outcomes
- Assist with colleague communications, including maintaining communication boards and notice areas across site
- Provide general confidential administrative support to the wider People team as required
- Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role is preferred
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of and respect for confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage with a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when handling data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
