We are looking for a proactive, people\- focused HR Advisor to join the team at The Maples. What you will be doing:

This varied and fast\-paced role will include providing effective support, guidance and advice to managers and employees on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee relations, policy and process, recruitment, as well as the management of the HR administration.

You will be comfortable delivering support and advice to our line managers as well as becoming a trusted partner, building on our culture and values.

Within the role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of people projects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality HR advice and guidance directly to managers to facilitate the early resolution of employee relations issues, ensuring that the risks associated with such cases are effectively managed.

  • Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice.

  • Case\-manage T\&C queries, employee relations matters, sickness absence, lifecycle events, redundancies and performance management. This includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedure and legislation, liaising with Occupational Health, supporting formal investigations and hearings.

  • Support the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding

  • Assisting on a regular basis with the established administration and operational procedures within the HR function

  • Build strong working relationships with all line managers to ensure a seamless flow of information and knowledge sharing that underpins the HR lifecycle.

  • Foster strong stakeholder engagement networks both internally and externally

  • Monitor, update and provide regular updates on People metrics

  • Provide support in the implementation of key projects and initiatives

  • Update and monitor HRIS, personnel files and other key HR administration
You will thrive here if you’re:
  • 2\+year of generalist HR experience

  • Working towards CIPD Level 5 – being qualified already is a plus

  • Proven experience of case management within a complex and changing environment.

  • Proven experience of providing advice to all levels of personnel, from management to employees on a range of employee relations matters to an appropriate conclusion.

  • Experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Problem\-solving attitude with high levels of flexibility and ability to work through ambiguity.

  • Able to take the initiative and work autonomously.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of employment law issues and best practice

  • Strong IT Skills
