We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, market-leading business operating within a highly regulated consumer products sector. With multiple sites across the UK and continued growth plans, the organisation is seeking a professional and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join its Human Resources team based in Darwen.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced commercial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the full employee life cycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with legislative and business requirements.
Your new role
Reporting to an HR Business Partner, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, benefits administration and HR reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing employment contracts, offer letters and HR documentation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity across HR systems.
- Managing HR enquiries and acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers.
- Supporting recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews and coordinating onboarding.
- Assisting with induction and new starter processes.
- Supporting payroll administration, employee benefits and company vehicle administration.
- Managing compliance training records and reporting through internal systems.
- Producing regular HR and compliance reports using Excel and HR information systems.
- Coordinating employee exit processes and conducting exit interviews where required.
- Supporting employee relations activities and HR projects.
- Ensuring HR processes remain compliant with employment legislation, data protection requirements and internal policies.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are CIPD Level 3 qualified or currently working towards their qualification and are keen to build a long-term career in Human Resources.
You will also have:
- 1 to 3 years' recent HR administration experience.
- Experience within a fast-paced, multi-site environment, ideally within retail, wholesale, manufacturing, consumer products or another regulated sector.
- Experience preparing contracts, HR documentation and maintaining employee records.
- Strong recruitment and onboarding administration experience.
- Working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel for reporting, data validation and tracker management.
- Experience using HRIS systems and digital HR platforms.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.
- A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive employee information.
- Salary of £30,000 per annum.
