Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Housekeeping Assistant Manager to support the day\-to\-day running of our housekeeping operations. This is a hands\-on role, and the successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in daily housekeeping duties alongside the team, as well as assist with supervision and operational management.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the hotel or hospitality industry and possess strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to lead by example on the floor.

Duties

  • Assist with the daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and public areas as required

  • Support and work alongside the housekeeping team during busy periods and staff shortages

  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean and organised environment

  • Supervise, support, and help train housekeeping staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and efficient operations

  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are consistently met

  • Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally
Experience \& Requirements
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or assistant management role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting

  • Must be comfortable carrying out physical housekeeping duties on a daily basis

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast\-paced environment

  • Positive, hands\-on attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside the Housekeeping Manager in leading a committed team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. We are looking for someone who is not only able to supervise operations, but who is also happy to be actively involved in the day\-to\-day housekeeping duties required to keep the operation running smoothly.
