We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper to join a beautiful country house care home set within seven acres of landscaped gardens in Dawlish, South Devon.

About the Home Set within seven acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, this elegant country house offers a peaceful and homely environment for up to 36 elderly residents requiring residential care.

The Role As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

You will work as part of the wider team to ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, helping to create a pleasant and homely environment for residents to enjoy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms and communal areas to a high standard


• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the home


• Cleaning bathrooms, corridors, lounges, dining areas and other shared spaces


• Changing bedding and maintaining residents' rooms as required


• Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and appropriately


• Following appropriate infection prevention and control procedures


• Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff


• Working respectfully around residents and taking care not to disturb their comfort and routine


• Supporting a warm, welcoming and homely environment


• Working closely with the care and wider housekeeping team


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation at all times

Working Hours 18 Hours per Week
3 x 6-Hour Shifts
9:00am – 3:00pm
£12.75 per hour + Paid Breaks

About You • Previous housekeeping, cleaning or domestic experience is desirable

• Experience within a care home, hotel or similar environment would be advantageous


• Reliable, hardworking and conscientious


• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness


• Caring, respectful and considerate towards elderly residents


• Good attention to detail


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Organised and able to manage daily cleaning responsibilities effectively


• Committed to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment


• Positive attitude and professional approach


• £12.75 per hour + Paid Breaks
