As a Registered House Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and operation of a residential children’s home. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while leading and developing a confident, motivated team.
The Role
- Lead the day\-to\-day management and strategic direction of the home
- Ensure high\-quality, person\-centred, and trauma\-informed care at all times
- Promote a strong safeguarding and child protection culture
- Lead, support, and develop the house team through supervision and training
- Maintain compliance with Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively
- Work positively with Local Authorities, external agencies, and regulators

Qualifications and Experience
- SVQ Level 4 / SCQF Level 9 Children and Young People and CSLM (or equivalent meeting SSSC requirements)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at management level and 5\+ years in residential child care
- Experience of supervising staff within a residential children’s setting
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Salary: £36,500 – £48,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
