Hotel Night Porter

We have a great opportunity for you to be a part of an award\-winning luxury hotel and restaurant group. Set in over 27 acres of rural Worcestershire countryside, boasting 56 luxurious bedrooms, an a la carte restaurant, cocktail bar and lounge and reputable wedding venue, we operate 24/7 and offer exceptional customer service to all of our guests.

We are seeking an experienced Night Porter to join the Operations team, working 32 hours per week, shift patterns 4 nights over 7, from 11pm – 7am. You will seamlessly anticipate guests needs and exceed expectations, solving in house guest issues quickly and efficiently, whilst adhering to all health and safety / fire procedures according to company policy.

Main Responsibilities:

• To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.


• To ensure all conference and banqueting facilities are maintained to the standards required and our guests receive efficient, professional and friendly service at all times, and setting up and clearing conference and banqueting rooms to the company core standards.


• To ensure all storage areas for C\&B equipment are kept tidy and safe.


• To ensure on all occasions you follow safe and hygienic work practices in order to satisfy Health \& Safety at work, Food Hygiene and other statutory legislation.


• Greet and welcome guests to the Hotel.


• Check in and Check out, completing correct paperwork and taking payment from them for their accommodation.


• Responsible for the safety and security of guests in house and ensuring that they are aware of fire safety instructions.


• Attend all fire, health and safety training and ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises by applying Hotel Regulations, by strict adherence to existing laws, statues and applicable ordinances, and reporting any possible hazards and conditions to the Manager


• Tour all areas of the hotel on a regular basis and report irregularities to relevant department heads, and maintenance.


• Be fully aware of all daily and weekly events in the hotel


• Other duties as required by the management team

The successful candidate will be organised, punctual and efficient and have a flexible working approach. You will also have excellent communication skills with both colleagues and with customers. Experience in this role would be an advantageous, and previous experience in conference and banqueting, bar tending and hotel security would be desirable.
