We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, along with exceptional leadership skills. This role requires the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards. The Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment, including machinery and electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, identifying any issues that require immediate attention.
- Utilise electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs as necessary.
- Oversee the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems, ensuring they function correctly.
- Manage projects related to maintenance improvements, including upgrades and installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the maintenance department.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a maintenance environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics related to machinery and systems.
