The Riverside Lodge Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, hands\-on and guest\-focused Duty Manager to join our management team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading and motivating a dedicated team.
As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day\-to\-day operation of the hotel, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service from arrival to departure. You will lead by example, support all departments, and help maintain the high standards that our guests have come to expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the hotel, ensuring smooth service across all departments.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay.
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally, resolving issues efficiently.
- Support and motivate team members, promoting a positive and professional working environment.
- Assist with staff training and development.
- Ensure all health \& safety, fire and licensing regulations are adhered to.
- Monitor standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service throughout the hotel.
- Support reception, food \& beverage and housekeeping teams during busy periods.
- Complete daily management duties including cash handling, reporting and shift handovers.
- Act as Manager on Duty, making informed decisions and ensuring the hotel operates efficiently at all times.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- A genuine passion for customer service and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands\-on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational and problem\-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems is desirable but not essential.
