When on duty the Duty Manager will be responsible for the day to day running and organisation of the hotel in accordance with agreed performance standards.This includes dealing with complaints, assisting in all departments, staff organisation, decision making, implementation and observation of Fire Procedures, Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring the comfort and well being the guest and ensuring the highest standards possible.
*Main Duties:*
- To act as a member of the Duty Management team on a shift rota system while on duty.
- To ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care within the hotel.
- To undertake any regulatory requirements.
- To assume shift responsibility for the hotel to maximise the total performance of the hotel and maintain the highest standards.
- To be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.
- To be readily available at all times to deal with a problem or complaint.
- To ensure that all staff are working and performing their duties to the requisite standard.
- To assist all departments ensuring customers are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- To ensure sufficient staff are available for the safe, high quality functioning of the hotel.
- To re\-arrange rotas and duties in the event of illness or absenteeism.
- To ensure that no unruly or rowdy behaviour persists and to take the appropriate measures in the event of unreasonableness by guests and staff members.
- To assist the Operations \& Organisation Managers in providing the appropriate staff training and development.
- To coach and teach as required and generally assist with the running of events.
- To maintain the highest standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
- To undertake any other duties as may be required to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved.
- To cooperate with the Company in ensuring that the Statutory Regulations and safe codes of practice are complied with and to use protective equipment provided.
- To take reasonable care for health and safety themselves and other people who may be affected by their acts at work.
- To inform management of any hazards of which they must be aware, in order that appropriate action can be taken, and report any incidents that have led to injury or near misses.
Pay: £26,500\.00 per year
