We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Hospital Porter to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of patients, equipment, and supplies within the hospital premises. Duties

• Safely transport patients to and from wards, departments, and diagnostic areas, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times


• Assist with the movement of medical equipment, supplies, and documentation around the hospital


• Support hospital staff by delivering items promptly across different departments


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of designated areas, including storage rooms and corridors


• Respond promptly to urgent requests for patient transfers or equipment movement


• Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff


• Provide assistance to visitors or patients as needed, offering directions or information courteously

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment is advantageous but not essential


• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively


• Excellent communication skills and a professional manner when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast\-paced setting


• Physical fitness to handle lifting, pushing, or pulling equipment and patients safely


• Valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for vehicle operation if required


• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies
