Homeless Services Support Worker
Hours: 13\.5 hours per week
Working pattern: 3 mornings per week, 8\.00am to 12\.30pm
Salary: £10,800 per annum
Full time equivalent salary: £30,000 per annum
Responsible to: Homeless Outreach Operations Manager at SHAC, St Martin's Way, Chester
SHARE is a small charity based in Chester and North Wales, making a real and practical difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness, as well as supporting refugees locally, nationally and overseas.
Our direct homeless support services are delivered from the SHARE Homeless Action Centre, known as SHAC, in central Chester. SHAC provides a safe, welcoming and structured environment where people can access food, support, guidance, enrichment opportunities and links to the right agencies.
People are at the heart of everything we do. As part of our long term strategy, we are continuing to professionalise and strengthen our support services for people experiencing homelessness in Chester.
We are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and resilient part time Homeless Services Support Workers to join our team.
These roles would suit people who are compassionate, calm under pressure, able to work as part of a team, and confident dealing with individuals who may have complex needs or challenging behaviours.
Previous experience in homelessness, mental health, addiction, safeguarding or support work is desirable, but not essential. However, applicants must be computer literate and confident with written records and basic report writing.
Pay: £10,800\.00 per year
