Home Care Worker

Are you a compassionate, patient and reliable individual who wants to make a real difference in someone’s life? We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly team at Invercare.

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide person\-centred care and support to individuals with but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and physical disabilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide personal care: Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, where required.


• Promote independence: Encourage and support service users to make choices and live as independently as possible.


• Support daily living: Help with meal preparation, cleaning, shopping, and managing medication.


• Emotional support: Offer companionship, build trust, and provide reassurance and encouragement.


• Monitoring and reporting: Observe and record changes in physical or emotional health, and report concerns to senior staff.


• Community involvement: Assist individuals in accessing the community, attending appointments, or participating in social activities.


• Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well\-being of service users, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.


• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support provided and outcomes achieved.

• Caring, empathetic, and enthusiastic nature


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently


• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings


• Experience in a similar role or relevant qualification for health and social care but not essential as training will be provided.


• There may be a requirement for sleepovers
