Care is not simply completing a list of tasks. It is noticing when someone seems quieter than usual, taking time to listen, remembering how they like their cup of tea and helping them remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own home.
You do not need previous care experience. What matters most is that you are compassionate, reliable and treat people with the dignity and respect you would want for someone you love. We will provide the training and support you need.
What the role involves
- Supporting people with personal care in a respectful and sensitive way
- Helping with medication, meals and everyday household tasks
- Providing companionship and reassurance
- Encouraging independence rather than taking over
- Noticing and reporting changes in a person’s wellbeing
- Building trusted relationships with clients and their families
- Keeping accurate care records
- Travelling between clients’ homes
- Naturally caring, patient and respectful
- Dependable and able to arrive when someone is expecting you
- A good listener who takes time to understand each person
- Comfortable supporting people with different needs
- Willing to learn and work as part of a supportive team
- Looking for work that has real purpose
