Hire Logistics Team Leader

MTech Brentwood Communications is a leading provider of two\-way radio and event communications solutions across the UK and internationally.

We are looking for a proactive and detail\-oriented Hire Logistics Team Leader to oversee the preparation, dispatch, return, and maintenance of our two\-way radio hire equipment.

This is a hands\-on role where you'll lead by example, ensuring equipment is prepared to the highest standards, returned stock is thoroughly inspected and serviced, and daily operations run efficiently. You'll play a key role in maintaining quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction while supporting a busy hire logistics operation. Monday to Friday 8am\-5pm.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Preparation \& Dispatch

• Clean and prepare two\-way radios to a consistently high standard before dispatch.


• Program radios using specialist software (full training provided).


• Pack equipment securely to ensure safe transportation.


• Verify orders are accurate and complete before shipment.

Returns, Inspection \& Maintenance

• Inspect returned equipment for damage and functionality.


• Clean returned radios to rehire standards.


• Identify, document, and escalate faults to the Service Department.


• Ensure repaired equipment is returned to hire stock promptly.

Logistics \& Stock Management

• Coordinate the movement of a high volume of radios each day.


• Maintain accurate inventory records and equipment tracking.


• Ensure all equipment is accounted for and handled in line with company procedures.


• Support the smooth day\-to\-day running of the Hire Logistics Department.

Administration

• Record dispatches, returns, repairs, and equipment status accurately.


• Update inventory and shipment information using company systems.


• Maintain organised documentation to support efficient operations.

Essential Skills \& Experience

• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.


• Good computer literacy and confidence using inventory or administrative systems.


• Ability to identify problems and take initiative to resolve them.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.


• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, equipment hire, or a similar operational environment.


• Working in a fast paced environment.

Desirable

• Experience programming two\-way radios or similar technical equipment.


• Previous team leader or supervisory experience.

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
