Major Account Customer Hire & Sales Coordinator

About the Role We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Major Account Customer Hire & Sales Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives on building relationships, coordinating multiple requests, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Acting as a key point of contact for major account customers, you will manage hire and sales enquiries from initial request through to completion, ensuring service level agreements are met and customers receive a seamless experience at every stage.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, account managers, and operational teams, you will play a vital role in supporting business growth while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities • Coordinate all aspects of customer hire and sales requirements from enquiry through to fulfilment.

  • Manage multiple customer accounts, ensuring service level agreements and response times are consistently achieved.

  • Process quotations, contracts, and orders accurately using company systems.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Source equipment and services from both internal divisions and approved external suppliers.

  • Negotiate delivery schedules, availability, and rates where appropriate.

  • Monitor ongoing enquiries and projects, ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the process.

  • Handle customer enquiries, breakdown requests, off-hires, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.

  • Liaise with operational teams to ensure equipment availability and service expectations are met.

  • Escalate and communicate any service concerns or operational challenges to relevant stakeholders.

  • Produce accurate reports and account updates for account managers and leadership teams.

  • Ensure all customer information, contracts, and records are maintained accurately.

  • Identify opportunities for additional sales, cross-selling, and enhanced customer support.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience within account management, customer service, sales support, hire control, coordination, logistics, or administration.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

  • A customer-first approach with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Confidence working with internal systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
