We’re looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Warwickshire and Solihull contract, supporting the delivery of high\-quality highway maintenance and construction works. This is a hands\-on role offering varied work, where safety, teamwork, and pride in your work are key.
What you'll be doing
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the local highway network, carrying out a wide range of activities including:
- Pothole repairs and patching works
- Footway and carriageway construction
- Installation and repair of street furniture, bollards and fencing
- Drainage and ironworks installation
- Kerbing, slabbing, block laying and concreting
- Excavation of trenches and compliance with traffic management requirements

Essential experience
- Highway maintenance and civils works
- Pothole repairs and footway construction
- Drainage, ironworks and concreting
- Traffic management and gritting operations
- Plant awareness and manual handling
- Full driving licence
Desirable qualifications
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- NRSWA
- 12D Traffic Management (T1/T2\)
- CSCS Highway Maintenance
- First Aid / Abrasive Wheels
