Higher Farm Ketchup Production Manager
Job Overview
The Higher Farm Ketchup Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of ketchup production at our farm.
We are a new venture, and are currently building our new production kitchen, which you will work on and will hire your production team. As a startup in these early days we need someone ambitious and ready for exciting new horizons, and someone who is happy to get in the mix at the start in order to help keep production labour low.
We do things very differently and with lots of integrity at Higher Farm \- we farm ingredients ourselves in our regenerative food forests, and source what we dont from our regenerative farm partners. As production manager you will be part of coordinating this exciting supply chain with our farm manager and with our partner farms.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of ketchup production, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Oversee the utilisation of systems such as SAP and ERP to monitor inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain logistics.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Manage the maintenance and mechanical aspects of production equipment, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Conduct regular quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand, plan raw material procurement, and manage stock levels effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing operational data and identifying areas for optimisation.
- Supervise a team of production staff, providing training on assembly processes and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all production activities.
- Minimum 1 year in managing a condiment production line
- Minimum 5 years in food manufacturing management
- Proficiency in using systems such as SAP and ERP for effective supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics and inventory control processes.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment.
- Expertise in quality control procedures to uphold product standards.
- Knowledge of assembly processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proven track record in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within a production setting.
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£53,000\.00 per year
