Academics are currently looking for a HLTA to work in a primary school in Welwyn Garden City.
Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £100-£110 per day
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and confident HLTA who enjoys working with children and wants the flexibility that supply work can offer. You'll have the opportunity to take on a higher level of responsibility within different primary school settings, supporting teachers and pupils while gaining experience across a range of schools.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
- Leading whole-class sessions and lessons when required.
- Working with individuals and small groups to support learning and development.
- Supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities.
- Providing cover for classes when required.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils to stay focused, motivated and engaged with their learning.
- Working closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupil progress.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and schools across different settings.
- Adapting quickly to different classrooms, year groups and school environments.
- Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or in a similar education role.
- Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
- Is confident leading lessons, groups and classroom activities.
- Has strong behaviour management skills.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and adaptable.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Has a patient, supportive and confident approach.
- Can work independently as well as part of a wider school team.
- Has a good understanding of the primary school curriculum.
