HGV Driver - 6 month FTC
Main Responsibility
- Operate company HGVs safely and efficiently between sites
- Carry out pre\- and post\-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries
- Manage the movement and yard coordination of full and empty containers/trailers
- Adhere to Transport Operating Licence requirements and company procedures
- Comply with all Health \& Safety, Environmental, and Customs \& Excise legislation
- Follow ISO 9001, BRC, and HMRC standards and report any non\-conformances
- Liaise with internal teams including Despatch, Loading, and Vat Hall Coordinators
- Contribute to team meetings, continuous improvement activities, and problem\-solving initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support team performance objectives
Our Ideal Candidate
- Valid HGV licence (Class 1 or 2\)
- Valid ADR Class 3 Licence required.
- Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A dependable, flexible, and professional approach
