HGV Compliance Engineer - HGV Mobile Mechanic

Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic looking for a new challenge, or perhaps a Mobile HGV Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Commercial Vehicle Technician seeking greater variety? This Asset Compliance Engineer role within Dawsongroup Environmental Municipal Civil could be exactly what you have been looking for, combining hands on engineering, customer interaction, and mobile fleet support across customer sites.
- Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and specialist municipal vehicles across customer locations and DGEMC workshops
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and braking faults across a varied specialist fleet
- Plan and complete PMI inspections in line with O Licence requirements
- Support on hire and off hire processes to ensure fleet availability and compliance
- Operate as a mobile engineer, building strong relationships with customers while keeping assets safe, compliant and operational
You are a HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or skilled engineer who enjoys solving problems and taking ownership of your work. You value safety, compliance, and quality, while enjoying the freedom to work independently and build relationships with customers.
- Experience within HGV maintenance, commercial vehicles, municipal equipment, or a similar engineering environment
- Confidence working with engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems and braking systems
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach with customers and colleagues
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel to customer sites
