FM Conway is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you'll help protecting protect communities and keeping essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a two-person crew, you'll be at the front line of drainage operations , from drain cleaning and clearance to repair and maintenance work . Using specialised vehicles and equipment, you'll help ensure that water flows freely through drainage systems, helping to prevent flooding, minimise disruption, and support a healthier environment. This is a full time, permanent role based in Cheshire.
The duties of the HGV Class 2 Driver role will include:
- Carrying out a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean, and maintain drainage networks.
- Responding promptly to drainage issues and emergency callouts, tackling blockages, overflows, and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning, and repairing drainage systems as part of routine operations or urgent interventions.
- Accurately recording and reporting all work carried out, including identifying and flagging any additional issues that require follow-up.
- Using our app-based reporting system to update job progress, upload photos/videos, and ensure clear communication with the wider team.
We're looking for reliable, committed individuals who hold a Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC . You'll enjoy working as part of a team and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety . While previous experience in the drainage industry is preferred, it's not essential - full training can be provided for the right candidate.
