HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver

Lord Logistics Group Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (C\+E) Tramper Driver to join our growing general haulage operation.

The role will involve general haulage work across the UK, with regular nights out throughout the week. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, looks after their vehicle and represents the company professionally when dealing with customers.

The role will include:

• UK general haulage


• Regular tramping and nights out


• Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting


• Ensuring loads are secure and paperwork is completed correctly


• Maintaining good communication with the transport office


• Working within Drivers’ Hours and Working Time regulations


• Keeping the vehicle clean and well maintained

• Full UK Class 1 / C\+E licence


• Valid Driver CPC


• Valid Digital Tachograph Card


• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours regulations


• Reliable and professional attitude


• Good communication skills


• Previous general haulage/tramping experience preferred

• £15\.00 per hour


• £25 night\-out allowance for each qualifying night away


• Full\-time, regular and ongoing work


• Overtime opportunities may be available depending on operational requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (Category C\+E) licence.


• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.


• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.


• Have a minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience due to insurance requirements.


• Be 30 years of age or over due to current insurance requirements.


• Have a good understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations, Working Time Regulations and tachograph rules.


• Be reliable, professional and capable of working independently.


• Be flexible regarding start and finish times.


• Be willing and able to stay away overnight when required.

Due to the nature of the transport industry, this role may involve early starts, variable finish times, long working days within legal limits and overnight stays.

Drivers must therefore be comfortable working flexibly to meet operational and customer requirements while remaining fully compliant with all applicable Drivers' Hours and Working Time legislation.
