Heavy Plant Technician Salary: £39,000 - £43,500 DOE
Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
Location: North Lincolnshire
Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well-established engineering and industrial business to recruit a Heavy Plant Technician to join their maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical technician, plant fitter, HGV technician or maintenance engineer looking to join a business that can offer long-term career development, excellent benefits and ongoing training opportunities.
As a Heavy Plant Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of heavy plant and mobile equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on heavy plant equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
- Conduct inspections and servicing in line with maintenance schedules
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company procedures
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased equipment reliability
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and operations teams to minimise downtime
- Support equipment installations, upgrades and improvement projects when required
- Heavy plant maintenance
- Plant fitting
- HGV maintenance and repair
- Agricultural machinery maintenance
- Construction equipment maintenance
- Mobile plant engineering
- A recognised mechanical engineering, plant maintenance or vehicle maintenance qualification
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics and diesel-powered equipment
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
- Good communication skills and a strong commitment to health and safety
- Monday to Friday working pattern with no regular weekend work
