Heating Service Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our Service Department. The role will be mobile mainly covering the West of Scotland with occasional coverage of Scotland and parts of England.

Gibson \& Goold are a well established company based in Ayr. Renowned for installation, maintenance and repair of Biomass and Heat Pumps alongside traditional oil, gas and heating installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintenance of heating systems and equipment


• Reactive breakdown repairs


• Ensuring all work adheres to Gas Safety Regulations


• Customer communication


• Problem solving


• Using our digital work platform for job reports

• Domestic and Commercial Heating Systems


• Domestic and Commercial Gas and Oil firing appliances


• Pressurisation units, expansion vessels and pumps


• Oil storage and supply systems


• Gas supply installations


• Understanading of Mechanical Machinery Systems


• Installation of appliances, pipework and ancillary equipment


• Fault finding on these systems and equipment


• Biomass and Heat Pumps \- Training will be provided on renewables if required


• Installation works

• Valid Commercial and Domestic Gas qualifications


• Relevant SVQ or C\&G qualification


• Industry experience

• Experience on Biomass boilers and fuel delivery systems


• Experience on air and ground source heat pumps


• Valid OFTEC qualifications

• Company van with fuel card


• 30 days holiday
