Heat Pump Repair Engineer
About us
AUX UK is the UK distributor for AUX heat pumps and air conditioning. We supply installers and merchants nationwide with R290 monobloc air\-to\-water heat pumps, R32 air conditioning systems and fan coil units, and we support every unit we sell with our own technical and warranty service.
The role
We're looking for an experienced heat pump engineer to join our technical team. You'll be the person who gets our customers' systems back up and running: attending site, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on AUX heat pumps, and supporting our installer network with technical advice.
What you'll be doing
- Attending domestic and light commercial sites to diagnose and repair air\-to\-water heat pumps
- Fault\-finding on refrigeration, electrical and hydraulic sides, including compressors, PCBs, sensors, pumps and controls
- Carrying out warranty and chargeable repair visits, and replacing parts where needed
- Checking system set\-up on site, such as flow rates, controller parameters, buffer tank and HW cylinder configuration
- Giving phone and remote technical support to installers
- Writing clear visit reports with findings, photos and parts used
- Feeding recurring issues back to the technical team
- Assisting with air conditioning service and repair work when required
- Proven experience servicing and repairing air\-to\-water heat pump
- Strong electrical fault\-finding skills
- Good understanding of wet heating systems and unvented hot water
- Full UK driving licence
- A professional, friendly manner with homeowners and installers
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own diary
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
- 18th Edition or other electrical qualification
- Experience with inverter\-driven monobloc units or with AUX products
- Air conditioning installation or service experience
- Company van, fuel card, phone and tablet
- Tools and specialist equipment provided
- Full product training on the AUX range
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional overtime or on\-call if applicable.
