Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Carers / Support Workers to join our team in Maidstone. The successful candidate will provide high\-quality, person\-centred care and support to individuals within their own homes, including those with complex healthcare needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in domiciliary care, supported living, residential care, or complex care is preferred.

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs such as PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, or respiratory conditions is desirable.

  • Full training and competency assessments will be provided where required.

  • Valid UK driving licence is desirable.

  • Good organisational and communication skills.

  • Basic IT skills for electronic care records.

  • Compassionate and person\-centred approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with complex healthcare needs in accordance with care plans and risk assessments.

  • Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

  • Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling practices.

  • Follow individual care plans and provide support tailored to each person's needs and preferences.

  • Support clients with meal preparation, hydration, and medication support where appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate and timely care records using electronic care systems.

  • Monitor and report any changes in a client's health, wellbeing, or circumstances.

  • Build positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Accompany or transport clients to appointments and community activities where required.

  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and social inclusion.

  • Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and company policies at all times.
