The role:

You will join the West Dunbartonshire Children and Families Team as an enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor, working as an autonomous practitioner and caseload manager to deliver a highquality, safe and effective community health visiting service.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Full\-time, Permanent

Shift pattern \- Monday \- Friday

Base location \- Vale of Leven Health and Care Centre

Key responsibilities:

  • Caseload management taking responsibility and accountability for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway and any additional care programmes.

  • Child protection applying indepth knowledge and safeguarding expertise.

  • Interagency collaboration working closely with partner agencies to support children and families.

  • Autonomous practice functioning independently with professional judgement and decisionmaking.

  • GIRFEC Framework applying GIRFEC principles throughout all aspects of care delivery.

  • Universal Health Visiting Pathway delivering the national pathway to ensure consistent, highquality support for families.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
  • A car driver is essential for community travel.

  • Must be an NMC Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor.

  • Requires strong expertise in health visiting practice, child protection, and the GIRFEC framework.

  • Expected to demonstrate proficiency, experience and autonomous clinical judgement.

  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities are provided by West Dunbartonshire HSCP.
